There is a recent survey and plat which defines the boundary lines, straight and otherwise, as well as outlines the “small” encroachment which has been since agreed to by OPA and Mr. Moore. For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: There is a very small encroachment by a rest room on the Southside of our property about 3/4 of the way to the bay. Define small. Are you saying the property line is not a straight line? Does OPA have a survey of our property with the location of what you say is an "encroachment" and what is built on that encroachment? Did Ocean City issue a permit to someone to build bathrooms on OPA property? If so, how did that happen? Unfortunately, all these negotiations are lately done behind closed doors with OPA members kept in the dark under the "contracts" are a closed session topic. In fact, the last contract extension was signed by then-president Doug Parks without the approval of the board, in violation of the OPA bylaws. What is needed here is transparency. Transparency, in this case, can only be obtained with an actual survey of our property that includes the surveyed location of any structures on OPA property. |
