I didn’t say anything about supporting or not supporting our Ocean Pines Police Department. All I was trying to convey is the fact that in 2021-2022 our Association assessment contributed $1,452,763.00 additional dollars over and above our tax provided police coverage, County and State. Marty |

For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: I don’t have any idea what the cost of a speeding ticket is, however, every property owner in Ocean Pines is paying $171.88 of their assessments for the additional police presence. Additional? Are police from other jurisdictions spending much time in Ocean Pines? Our police department is not additional; it is our primary police presence. By choice. I would expect the vast, vast majority of property owners are supportive of our police department. |
