I have no problem in showing you my iPhone to see that what I said is true. What I do have a problem with is if you listen to my comments you will be able to verify that I never said what you wrote (which by the way thanks to whoever shared that with you). I specifically paraphrased ONLY two sentences where Colby said that Amy and Esther were friends. I am asking you respectfully to remove that whole paragraph from your original post. |

For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: Responses from board members received via email questions to the board are a part of the Books and Records of OPA and available to any members in my opinion. I assume the emails you received from the board were not from private email addresses but from oceanpines.org official board email addresses. was any response noted as off the record? As for Amy, in my opinion she should never have written to you what you say she did. Amy has yet to confirm she wrote what you said. I will assume your recount is accurate. In over 30 years I have not seen such personal animosity displayed between association members or between board members or between board members and association members. Disagreeing with board decisions is the national pastime in OPA politics. This extreme personal animosity we see expressed in the last year or so is truly new and unfortunate. Elections have consequences. I believe Horn should have appointed Lakernick and the board consented. However, Horn is president and the bylaws confer the president with sole appointment authority. The board can only agree or not. As for Daly, he is fixated on Diller’s conviction a year or so ago. His fixation serves no good purpose for OPA. Perrone did the right thing today when he asked Horn if she was asking for the board to approve her appointment of Lakernick. She said No. Thus no vote, no discussion. The bylaws were followed. |
