In my experience, these mailings aren’t expensive and can be quite effective.
Define not expensive. Spending perhaps $4000 for positions with no pay in an HOA seems unusual. They are not mailing real estate offers trying to make money. What response from “some” do you find interesting? I don’t think you have lived here too long, but these board campaign mailings take place frequently. One of the better known ones was by a group called OPEG, Ocean Pines Election Group, back around 2004. |

The candidates supply the materials and labor and our post offices do the rest with bulk postage. What the candidates do with their own money is interesting, however, the response from some regarding a campaign mailer is curious…that’s all it is. A campaign mailer. |
