Section 5: OPA Board Subject: Perrone Resigns As OPA Treasurer Msg# 1165072

I understood that the homeowner was not suggesting bike/walking lanes in the median, but perhaps median strips could be redesigned in places to allow for a bigger shoulder that would make biking/walking safer.
Well, that option seems equally unrealistic. Along with the idea of painting crosswalks on the parkway. Any move to change the parkway median area should not be made by any four board members. How many pedestrians and cyclists have been hit by vehicles on the Parkway in the last 50 years? |

For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: I certainly wasn't answering for Mr. Perrone but only explaining my experience. When I don't know an answer, I have always been able to get it without directing staff. I also have the opportunity to bring any questions or concerns or topic to the Board President to discuss at the weekly GM meeting. I listened again to the public comments. I understood that the homeowner was not suggesting bike/walking lanes in the median, but perhaps median strips could be redesigned in places to allow for a bigger shoulder that would make biking/walking safer. |
