For example, If I don't know the answer to a finance question, I don't directly go to Mr. Phillips for the answer but instead direct the homeowner to info@oceanpines.org. 

 If an association member asks a board member a question about finance and the board member does not know the answer, maybe, just maybe, the board member should also want to know the answer. 

Perrone had the right to ask for any financial information from staff. He was the Treasurer for goodness sake.  

Horn’s stated position on this today makes no sense.  

Of course, it is no more absurd than proposing rules for our food and beverage operations when any such rules about conduct should apply to all common property. 

Then we had the board discussing legal issues without a lawyer present. Or the board pretending that taking voting and amenity use from lots in continuing violation will make a difference.

One of the more humorous aspects of the meeting was a suggestion by someone on the Strategic Planning Committee that OPA build bike and walking lanes down the middle of the Ocean Parkway median strip.

All in all, today’s meeting proved once again that the Board of Directors is OPA’s most valuable amenity.
