There is no way to determine what was wrong without a total do over of the counting process - and I doubt that will happen. More likely just some after-the-fact explanation. Take it or leave it.
There is nothing wrong with a total do over of the counting process for validation! If the counts are wrong then lets find out where the counts are off and not just back into some number. This is not rocket science and if there is nothing to hide then do the recount and lets get it verified. |

For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: So the actual number of ballots is wrong and will be rechecked but the vote numbers are correct?
