Section 5: OPA Board Subject: Election Vote Count Questioned Msg# 1170995

I believe your number to be closer to the actual discrepancy. I'm looking for answers and procedures to be put in place for the future. It's hard to validate an election result when you don't have the election report. My goal is to make sure the homeowners feel confident that electronic and/or paper voting can be trusted. I was very vocal about electronic voting because having 290 votes not count in 2021 was upsetting. Every vote should count so getting this discrepancy accounted for is important. I want homeowners to trust our voting process. | ||||||

For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: Amy, the 2019 election was for three seats in the board. A total of 8,355 votes were tallied on 3,073 valid ballot. This works out to an average 2.7 votes per ballot. Applying this to the 2022 election gets your variance above 1,000. |
