Thanks Ken.
Keep in mind that the Board of Directors did not initiate any lawsuit. I do not know how to answer your question. Boards make decisions. They are sometimes sued over those decisions. What actions are you referencing? Sounded like you were opposed to the board in the Farr case but supported the board in the Janasek case. |

For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: thanks Joe. We purchsed a home here in 2015 and my wife (different last name) took out the mortgage since she qualified for certain savings. We moved permanently 1.5 years ago. So i am on the deed with her now. Hope that answers your question about my ability to join the discussion. Do members in good standing have to be on the deed, wouldn't that be proof of ownership? "OPA's only source of money is from association members. If board members were personally responsible how many people do you think would run for the board?" i get your responce, but my point is that we have/are paying for lawsuits without the ability to question, (if that is the correct word) the board's actions which occured in a secret meeting until after the fact . Is our only recourse to wait and vote them out? Since I am relatively new, what can be recommended to stop the board from taking such actions in the future with impunity? thank you |
