As far as the tree thing goes, between the ornaments and the sign stealing, I’m genuinely pretty embarrassed for these people.
Who in the hell has a) the time b) the mental wherewithal to go out and buy a bunch of ornaments with the intention of using them to insult someone,drive to a park, and put them on a tree in a place public setting? What is this person, five years old? And then the other group [allegedly, possibly]stealing signs like high schoolers stealing a rival school’s mascot before homecoming… like, what? All of these people need to get themselves off of Facebook. They are entirely too online. |

For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: Apparently there is no holiday cease fire for the Ocean Pines Facebook wars. A supporter of group One decided to hang ornaments on the White Horse Park Christmas tree of group Two . The ornaments were intended to mock one or more members of group Two. A photo of the mocking tree was posted to Facebook. Then, perhaps in revenge, someone removed the identification sign from the tree of group One. As if all this was not enough nonsense for the holiday season, there are reports the extremely well-written OPA Thanksgiving message posted to Facebook and OPA’s website was nearly 100% plagiarized from a Thanksgiving message written days earlier by a college president on the college’s website. |
