This brings me back to my original question of are the two golf courses at Riddle Farm and the Ocean Pines course still watering?
I suspect they are. Why not? Why on earth would OPA stop watering the golf course and produce a complete disaster in a week or less? There is no factual data to indicate the Pleistocene aquifer is in any danger. Are you aware of such factual data? Riddle Farms uses effluent to water its golf courses. However, the Riddle Farms sewage treatment plant has not been operating correctly for perhaps two years, with their sewage trucked via tankers to the OP plant. Thus, they have less effluent for spray irrigation. Are they now using any drinking water from OP to spray on their golf courses? There are many unanswered questions here. When did the county start pumping water from OP to Riddle? How much? When will it end? How is OP plant compensated? Has the county completed some proposed connection line so Riddle can pipe raw sewage directly to the OP plant? |

For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: Joe: My point was that if you spray effluent or non potable well water on a golf course you are influencing the potable water levels. This brings me back to my original question of are the two golf courses at Riddle Farm and the Ocean Pines course still watering? Marty |
