And water tables were critically low after a Spring and Winter season that was reportedly heavier in rain than usual. I wish the board would ask questions of the Commission or at least that advisory committee.
I suspect few board members even know a county OP Water & Wastewater Advisory Committee exists. Dave Ferguson used to attend the meetings on occasion. The committee was created back around 1995. I was appointed by Sonny Bloxom when it was created. All took place at a Comissioners meeting held at Showell Elementary. Local builders complained no builders were appointed. I resigned that same night so the Commissioners could appoint a builder. If my memory is correct it was Jack Reed |
