| so what if 13% want to use carrier pigeon ? Do we need a unique system for each individual's preference ? 3 out of 4 chose paper ballots, and pretty significant marge. The MAJORITY chooses the method, and the rest have to go along. Don't see how it saved much money either, as the tabulating co. charged us an additional $7000, and of course we know that there is NO verification ability. | ||||||

For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: Couldn’t agree with u less. Over 25% of the votes cast were through the internet. Obviously, it’s something wanted by a large number of voters. U may continue to use paper but many people enjoy a simpler and efficient process. It also saves money for mailing. Most people do all their banking through the internet, and are very comfortable that it is a safe, as is internet voting. Also, voters get an immediate response that their vote was counted. Why not give people a choice?? |
