Then there is the argument that Internet voting saves OPA money -- with no data to support the claim. The ballot package MUST be mailed to all eligible owners. Those who vote on the Internet do save OPA the postage cost of the return mailing. Let's say that return mail is $1 per envelope (probably high). So if 1000 owners vote via the Internet, there is a savings of $1000. What is the cost in the contract for handling Internet voting? |
