For those of us that do not generate a lot of trash, it is much less expensive to take the trash
to the Berlin Transfer Station on Flowers Ave, behind the schools. It only costs $1.00 for a 33 gal bag of trash, recycle is free but you have to put it into the dumpsters ( just like the OP recycle). The Berlin location is opened on Saturday and Sunday, closed on Wednesday. I have been doing this since 2012. Trash collection used to be around $50.00/ quarter, don’t know what it is today. I sure have saved a lot of $$$ |

For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: I'm still able to take my small amount (as you) to the transfer station in Berlin. The cost is $1 for a 33gal bag. They accept everything i.e. cardboard, metal, wood, as long as you are not a contractor. Did that for years went to Republic after shoulder surgery. |
