Amen Gloria. My wife and I bought our house here in 2007 just using it to go to the beach. That's when I found out about the Transfer Station. I only used Republic after shoulder surgery. Republic is ridiculous. As long as you are able it's a pleasure using it. And it's government run as trash collection should be. | ||||||

For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: For those of us that do not generate a lot of trash, it is much less expensive to take the trash to the Berlin Transfer Station on Flowers Ave, behind the schools. It only costs $1.00 for a 33 gal bag of trash, recycle is free but you have to put it into the dumpsters ( just like the OP recycle). The Berlin location is opened on Saturday and Sunday, closed on Wednesday. I have been doing this since 2012. Trash collection used to be around $50.00/ quarter, don’t know what it is today. I sure have saved a lot of $$$ |
