So what. What Miller s now proposing is.just another family fun night. These single adults can just go and meet on the YC deck. Milker simply wants to make a big deal out if it. Much ado about nothing. |

For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: You are correct in that I believe the original proposal was adults only. However, the Aquatics Committee proposed this two other times (I don’t recall the dates at this time), and both times the written proposal emphasized that while this would likely be an event that would have greater appeal to adults without children, it was open to anyone who would be interested in a nice evening at the YC pool. In some ways it is not too different from family fun night. In that case the food and entertainment is geared to appeal to families with kids, however if adults without children want to attend no problem. And by the way, alcohol is available for adults at family fun night as well. Sunsets and cocktails is geared to appeal to adults without children but is open to families. I personally don’t see much of a difference, but if the powers that be don’t want such an event then so be it. |
