To date, this has not happened and if this remains the case then logic dictates that at a minimum, one tennis court should be converted into an additional four pickleball courts.
Hi, Ron. Just to be clear, are you suggesting one of the har-tru tennis courts be devoted to pickleball? |

For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: Great summary of the meeting. One thing lost in all this is the failure of racquet center management to create greater utilization of the significantly underutilized tennis courts. Pickleball continues to grow both organically, from drop-in’s ( especially vacationers) and through outside activities, including tournaments and camps. Pickleball has its own Board of Directors that works tirelessly to help contribute to the growth of pickleball. Tennis does not have the member support to create greater utilization of the courts. The goal of management should be to aggressively seek outside revenue sources to help compensate for the significant tennis membership fee shortfall. To date, this has not happened and if this remains the case then logic dictates that at a minimum, one tennis court should be converted into an additional four pickleball courts. This is simple economics; pickleball courts are over-utilized and tennis courts are under-utilized. Even it out and everyone wins. Ron Kurtz |
