You can rent in season and more. If you make your rental property your residence for 183 days per year, then you can be considered a resident. You must have a MD driver's license, have your mail delivered here, etc. If you do that, then you probably can not have the same privileges in another state. That also has great advantages when you sell your rental property. |

For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: My point is I pay the same taxes as full time residents, in fact, I pay more, no homestead exemption, but I have zero say in County or State government. In my way of thinking that's not right! So move full-time to OP or stop complaining. I may not recall all the details, but condo and second property owners tried to get voting rights in OC.
