| I would be shocked if they didn't already have scrubbers, they were ordered installed 30+ years ago? If the plants are newer then they were built with scrubbers. Just my opinion but I suspect it has more to do with the Liberals in the DC area being so wrapped up in the whole green thing? | ||||||

For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: Why do people get their panties all in a bunch over coal fired plants? With today's technology the scrubbers on the stacks eliminate the harmful ash and gasses, no different than natural gas. You are making a big assumption that these old Maryland coal plants can be modified as you suggest at a cost the owners feel is viable for future profit. |
