Yes, Mitrecic is most often on the opposite side from Bertino and Bunting on major issues, but there are a number of dynamics at play here.

This time a year ago Bertino was president of the commissioners and enjoyed an often times 5-2 majority.  Fast forward to today and it has seemingly flipped completely.  The bodies in the seats are all the same, so what changed?

Elder's surprising election as president last fall has come up here before, but a possible fracture in the majority seemed to show itself as far back as the conclusion of the Board of Education budget discussions last spring.  Also noteworthy, the county district lines were redrawn in the fall of 2023, moving Glen Riddle from Bunting's district into Fiori's.  Have to think that changed the complexion of this debate quite a bit.
