According to the article the petition states the referendum authorizing the Ocean Pines board to spend $3.9 million for the center was vague and incomplete and doesn’t “truly inform the membership of the true cost.” It demands that the OPA immedi­ately cease construction and introduce a new referendum for the project “with more complete and accurate informa­tion.”
