That argument is preposterous as OPA MUST check all signatures. How does OPA "check" the signatures? Does someone call the signees and ask them if they signed? What's the verification method? |

For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: I would never believe that you refused to sign because of your business relationship with Ocean Pines Assocation, Inc., or your relatiopnship with Dan. Right, Dan and I are the best of buddies. Your anger over this issue is apparently clouding your judgement, forcing you to resort to personal innuendo. As for any business relationship I may have with OPA, it is no different than any business relationship the Progress, Gazette, Courier, etc has with OPA. However, any reasonable person reading what I write must conclude I am more critical of OPA decisions than any other local media. In fact, archived here in these messages is a discussion where I told of an OPA employee telling me that because OPA was advertising on this site I should be less critical. You will note in that discussion that I stated flat out that I told the employee if there were any quid-pro-quo involved then I would not accept their advertising. I also confronted Glenn Duffy directly afterwards and he told me flat out there was no quid-pro-quo expected. I homed in on the "who signed" issue AFTER you said two newspaper reporters signed your petition and then all denied doing so. Then you suggest OPA employees signed and don't want OPA to know they did so. That argument is preposterous as OPA MUST check all signatures. |
