Section 5: OPA Board Subject: Community Center Contract Msg# 390693

Wood is not needed for a gym. The gym at the Community Church does not have wood. What is needed is an adequate resilient material. The kitchen is intact. In fact, I understand the bid for kitchen equipment came in under the estimated cost. The parking lot will be bid as macadam. Stachurski did suggest it might be wise to put off paving initially to see if the price drops. I don't agree with that idea as it could just as well rise. Thus, I'm not so sure the building is stripped down, even by your own definition. |

For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: JOE , you are correct in saying assuming the sale of the properties. hopefully the sale will cover the cost. why build a gymnasium without wood floors, and what about the kitchen, and now the gravel parking lot. all this to save money. that's my definition of stripped down. hopefully i'm wrong , but with nobody knowing anything but dan, i can only assume that the center will be built properly. hopefully i am wrong . russ |
