No one has ever said penalties for OPA cancellation were in the contract. It has been mentioned, or speculated, over and over again in messages posted on the Forum that OPA would probably have to pay a penalty if OPA canceled or terminated the contract at this stage of the project. Individuals can have at it if they want to split hairs on whether "penalties for OPA cancellation were in the contract" or "penalties for cancellation based on Maryland contract law." Either way there would be penalties. |

For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: because it would be discovered that the doomsday penalties which are being thrown for STOPping the project at this stage are not included in the contract, thus making the BOD side of this discussion or argument without merit. Try to exercise some semblance of intellectual integrity on this issue. No one has ever said penalties for OPA cancellation were in the contract. What has been said is there may be penalties for cancellation based on Maryland contract law. |
