Section 5: OPA Board Subject: Second CC referendum Msg# 433038

the lots were fairly undesirable. A great many were wet and over the years have become defacto stormwater holding ponds. The one on Watertown road is a full time swamp. Sounds like the Board overestimated the value and selling prices for the lots. After many many years they may now have value as all the prime and sub prime lots are long gone. That's certainly a good argument for selling the lots regardless of the referendum. |

For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: When I was on the board I was told of these lots. Most had been acquired through forclosure when the owners decided it was not worth paying assessments, i.e., the lots were fairly undesirable. A great many were wet and over the years have become defacto stormwater holding ponds. The one on Watertown road is a full time swamp. I fear that filing these lots is going to cause a lot of trouble for neighbors and the community drainage system. No intelligent buyer is going to buy one without detailed permission to fill the lot as required. After many many years they may now have value as all the prime and sub prime lots are long gone. |
