Norm: You are right on the money. This community center fiasco started as the communities "space needs" in the fall of 2004. When it was determined that the existing community hall was going to add to much money to the project it was decided to set it aside and address it later as a sperate issue. The necessary cost to fix the existing hall should been included and disclosed to the membership. Marty |

For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: So the BOD and GM are both responsible. We agree. But I beleive they often worked hand in hand in deception. I also beleive the interim GM should have proceded with the invasive inspection. I believe he had no intention of doing that because it would likely reveal defects that require extensive expenditures and that would have a detrimental effect on the expenditures for the new community center. |
