| joe , what rick is saying we are getting a 5.4 million dollar building that is not going to live up to our expectations. a cc should have dividable rooms with big folding walls that retract , so you can make three different spaces out of one large room so three different groups can be renting a room( oh wait we are not charging people to use the cc.). what we will end up with is a larger community hall , in a different location, with the same lousy accoustics with a couple of offices added on. that is the problem with this building you are getting nothing for 5.4 . the kind of building we need and want is not in our budget. so we might as well rebuild the old hall and save the money that we don't have and spend it on the country club and the old community hall. russ | ||||||

For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: I have also said in prior posts that my biggest worry is that we might be spending $5.4M for a building which will not be anywhere near a $5.4M building. We are not getting what we're paying for. Hummm. More hyperbole based on no factual information. If you have some factual information that the currently proposed project can be built for less than $5.4 million, please share it with all of us. |
