How is it absurd that more value pays higher assessments? Waterfront and golf course lots cost more than others. The owners already paid more for them and the waterfront people pay extra for bulkheads. You are not subsidizing them. They do pay more in county taxes which are based on the value of the propertiy. They do not wear out the roads faster, use more pool time or tennis time or wear out the walking trails more than anyone else. We all pay the same for the support of our amenities and that is the way it should be. I say this as someone who has a cottage in the woods and does not live here full time. Nancy Weber |
