Joe, I was hoping the new board could chart a new course (pun intended). Anyway, it's my opinion that no significant monies be spent refurbing until the YC can be polished as the crown jewel of OPA. Speaking of OPA management, does anyone know if the OPA decision to build the enclosure for the SC pool has resulted in enough new memberships to support the costs incurred to build the enclosure? Last I heard it had a negative effect of driving members away. I hope the plan to build the enclosure will prove to be a good plan. |

For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: A prominent restaurateur from the Baltimore area, an association member, offered to lease the YC restaurant last March or so. He was not only rebuffed but treated shabbily by Olson and one or more board members at the time. The gentleman wrote of his experience here on the forum. Marty Clarke has the fellow's name and contact info; I'm not sure if the fellow has been contacted again or not. OPA has a management/leadership problem.. and it starts at the very top. |
