How could the cost be more when the cost was sold as zero? Jack, never underestimate the power of the no-cost referendum information. Had the EXACT same referendum been held with a price tag of $3.9 million to be borrowed, it would have failed miserably. I often wonder what would have happened if they had combined the sale of some OPA property to finance a new CC combined with long term borrowing to spread the costs and keep assessment increases reasonable? |

For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: The CC referendum that won by 212 votes was an indication that the property owners were in favor of a new CC even though the costs were more than many of us favored. How could the cost be more when the cost was sold as zero? Jack, never underestimate the power of the no-cost referendum information. Had the EXACT same referendum been held with a price tag of $3.9 million to be borrowed, it would have failed miserably. |
