For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: How many of the names on the waiting list would disappear if the OPA dock charges matched commercial rates Probably a substantial percentage. From my perspective, if Abele is correct, and I believe he is, it makes no sense to mess up a very nice area of Ocean Pines, expecially for those who live in the immediate area, at substantial cost to satisfy only a very small percentage of the possible 2400 people who want docks. The people who own homes around the docks should have a reasonable expectation that OPA would not do something to possibly decrease the value of their homes, their views, their quality of life -- simply to provide subsidized slips for 57 lot owners.
