Has it come down to blaming association members for the failure of management to attract paying customers? joe Hi Joe, I do blame members who have had a bad experience and get in a huff and won't come back....at all. I have been here for eight days and have only eaten at the YC four times ( because I have been mostly taking care of a sick friend ) but all four experiences were positive. One time we took guests and they were pleased with everything about the place. There is no lovelier spot to enjoy food....in my opinion. I LOVE THE PLACE and I want to do everything that I can do personally to help make the YC a place that everyone else likes also. Perhaps if we all make POLITE suggestions to Joe about areas of improvement ...we could have it the way we WANT IT by the end of the summer. Just grousing around here on The Forum to each other is NOT the way to make YC Club improvements!!!!! Nancy

For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: Like it or not we, the membership, has to either pick up the loss generated by the operation on top of the capital expenses or shut it down and still have to pay for the capital cost as well as the on going maintenance which can cost more in an unused building as it cost us now. Gosh Marty, isn't improved food and service to attract customers even on the table any more? I feel zero obligation to spend my money at any particular place. When it comes to obligation, association members have every right to expect proper management from the board and GM, not some lame litany about how members should go and buy beer whether they like the food or not. Has it come down to blaming association members for the failure of management to attract paying customers? |
