OK, now I get it. I'm the reason the YC doesn't attract enough customers and loses money. All along I thought you were blaming all association members. God forbid OPA should ever consider it could possibly be things like menu, service, ambiance and all those important intangibles that managers/owners bring to successful operations. Look through the messages and you'll find I don't post messages about how awful the food is. I have posted plenty of messages decrying the losses and top level management (gm/board). BTW, it is not "my" Yacht Club. OPA is a non-stock corporation and total control of the YC is vested with the Board of Directors. All I and 8400 other association members do is pick up the tab for losses every year because the people who do control the YC (board) have never been able to even make the place break even..... kinda like golf in recent years. |

For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: Joe: How would you know about the food quality, you never go to the Yacht Club. In my opinion your constant negative whining about how awful the place, food and management are is much more harmful to our bottom line than the food quality. Every retail dollar you drive away from your Yacht Club is equal to $.20 +/- we all have to subsidize. Marty |
