By the way did my post to you earlier in response to your post to Joe address the questions you asked Joe? Ted: I appreciate your response to the questions I had posed to Joe. I have not yet reviewed the 1/9/09 video you referenced, but will certainly do so. With regard to Mr. Gomsak's presence on the Food and Beverage Committee, frankly no it doesn't. I realize Mr. Gomsak was never in a Yacht Club management position and therefore, not directly responsible for the losses. My question to Joe, which he has still not answered, is what SPECIFICALLY did Mr. Gomsak do/achieve, while on this committee, that elevates his candidacy to Joe's endorsement for him. I have nothing personal against Mr. Gomsak. My concern is that given Mr. Gomsak's level of experience and expertise, that if elected, his likely agenda, based on his persona, may well make it more economically difficult for me and people like the Oehls, to continue to live in Ocean Pines. A more fiscally conservative and down to earth approach would make me more comfortable. Linda |

For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: Linda, I'll add that although Mr. Gomsak seems to be more than qualified, it concerns me that his financial thought process may be in a stratosphere not unfortunately shared by many of us on fixed income types in the Pines. I'm worried that what may seem a logical and somewhat inconsequential increase in assessments to Mr. Gomsak will not be felt that way by others. Dutch said assessments should have gone up a little each year and we wouldn't be where we are today. Bob said he wasn't sure if the number was too low, too high or just right and Ray voted in favor of the increase. It almost seems that the fact Pete has a good understanding of the finances and is willing to explain them in detail is being held against him.
