Joe, You are assuming that Mr. Moore would simply agree to the same lump sum. More than likely he would want to pay actual, rather than an all encompassing rental rate and we would have to fund the fight if we wanted to reduce any assessment rate. You are mistaken to think that OPA assuming the tax bill automatically relates to no change in the total dollars he would pay. Ted |

For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: Since he is paying the tab (taxes) and fighting the assessment would directly benefit him, if he is unwilling to fight it why should we if it makes no difference until at least 2014? Well, maybe $10,000 or so more for OPA if receive the $75,000 and seek the assessment adjustment makes no difference to you, but I think such an amount could be put to better use than making a donation to the county.... an entity that shorts OPA big time to start with. |
