I also live along the golf course and I think that in addition to the overall greens maintenance, the peripheral maintenance is lacking as well. Many trees have low-growing "feeder" or "sucker" branches that were trimmed to allow beautiful views of the fairways up until this year. The new maintenance crew also blows debris into my yard, where the old crew was careful to deflect it elsewhere. Mike, I also live on the golf course and have experienced all of the above problems. The maintenance crew use to cut the grass weekly on the other side of my property; however I have not seen one person this year. The fairway on the 8th hole is terrible as well as the green. I have 4-8 friends come to my house every year to play golf for the weekend, and OP was one of the courses that they always wanted to play. However this year is another story, I would be embarrassed to take them there this year. We are playing 3 other courses instead. Another loss of revenue due to poor management, whether it be Casper Golf or the Board of Directors!. |

For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: Can't talk about it Joe. Ray What? Who is preventing you from talking about it? I wasn't going to add my two cents about the golf course decline until I saw that comment. We definitely need some "discovery" here if someone higher up is preventing board members from discussing issues relating to golf course maintenance (or lack thereof). The "attitude" of the maintenance crew and from Damien on this when asked was less than satisfactory. I know they must be under the gun on this but they were basically unapproachable. This made me very angry especially when I initilly approached them with a smiling face. Thats's the tip of the iceberg. I will be watching for developments with interest. |
