All the excuses about ........... the short root system appear to be just that, excuses. The bottom line is the course was not maintained properly. Period. Don't expect anyone to be held responsible. And most certainly don't expect anyone to be held accountable. |

For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: For what it is worth, I played the Newport Bay course at Ocean City Golf Club yesterday and the course was in fine shape. All the excuses about the weather and the short root system appear to be just that, excuses. I played with my son and six guests. I would normally have played at the Pines, but not with the poor conditions as they are now. It upsets me that I had to take my business elsewhere. |
