This is by far the most expensive item in the OPA budget and should get that level of attention. I'm not sure the above is correct. The police department at about $1.5 million may be the most expensive item. Turf problem and we don't know why. I've heard Casper does know the problem and taking steps to correct. |

For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: It doesn't matter what the cause of the poor course condition is the ultimate responsibility is at the top BOD and GM. Just because we hired Casper doesn't mean it is hands off. This is by far the most expensive item in the OPA budget and should get that level of attention. Turf probles and we don't know why. Let's see doesn't UMES have a turff management program? In fact they run a competing golf course on Cathel. UMES is a public university. I bet we could get some good, maybe even FREE advice (it is called the extension service) if we asked. If they cann't tell us what is wrong - well that is another issue. Is anyone asking? Dave |
