Jack: "This is prime time for golf packages and Casper may feel it is better to say nothing which could hurt them in the longer term" I have heard that the course is so bad that we just cancelled a previously booked outside golf tournament for a local Realtor group and sent them, and their business to River Run. At the same time we are still spending our hard earned assessment dollars on advertising for outside play on the television? Would somebody please ask Nurse Ratched what the HELL is going on? Marty |

For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: The fairway looks really bad. Just by chance, as I am not a golfer, I spoke with a fellow this morning who said that the course was so bad they actually left after playing only a couple of holes. It is hard for me to believe that Casper is not aware of what has caused the problem and I doubt they were trying to save money by not watering. Perhaps the fungus story I heard was true and they were limiting water usage in an effort to rid the course of the fungus. As an opinion I well say that the course condition problem has gotten to a point that it needs to be addressed by Casper to stop all the speculation that is going around. There is a golf news section on the OPA website which would be a good place to do so but as of today there is nary of mention of any problem. This is prime time for golf packages and Casper may feel it is better to say nothing which could hurt them in the longer term. |
