But I do know that several premier golf courses on the East Coast, some of which have hosted U.S. Open tournaments, are looking bad too. What exactly is considered "looking bad" at these courses? A couple of bunkers are not raked? |

For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: I don't know any more than the rest of you about why our golf course is in such sad shape. But I do know that several premier golf courses on the East Coast, some of which have hosted U.S. Open tournaments, are looking bad too. The superintendents at those courses are among the industry elite. I looked at a Web site that has reviews Maryland golf courses. The vast majority of the reviews were negative with respect to course conditions. This review was particularly interesting:
The current golf pro at Ocean Pines worked at this course and was promoted by Casper to come here. A sad coincidence, at least, or maybe bad karma. |
