Our Aquatics department was producing a profit before the enclosure. I am afraid that it is obvious what needs to be done to turn its operational bottom line around.
Awww Marty: Don't be afraid to state the obvious. I will do it for you though. TAKE THE COVER OFF THE POOL - TAKE THE COVER OFF THE POOL. PLAIN AND SIMPLE.....NOT DIFFICULT TO GET BACK THE AQUATICS PROFITS. Linda |

For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: Bill: No rebuttal, I agree and I do not want to see either go away. If you purchased at Ocean Pines because you and your family enjoyed horse back riding and visiting our equestrian center where are you now? Its gone! The most enjoyed amenity at Ocean Pines is hands down the Beach and its parking and club. This is clearly evident by its revenues, a net profit in 2011 of $382,579.00. I contend that by operating the big three on the back of these two profitable amenities will not work much longer. The operations need to be fixed. Simple at the Yacht Club, close in the off season. Our Aquatics department was producing a profit before the enclosure. I am afraid that it is obvious what needs to be done to turn its operational bottom line around. Then there is golf. Eagles Landing did almost twice the revenue we did last year and they do not have even one member. Bill, would you be opposed to OPA leasing out our golf operations to a qualified third party, and if not why not? Thanks. Marty |
