With all due respect, I promise to not try and tell you how to practice your profession, so please don't tell me how to do mine. Even a brand new building will need to be maintained over its life, which normally is way longer then 40 years. I can not remember a building, out side of a disaster scenario, that was torn down after just 40 years. Can you? In my professional opinion the $1.1 Million Dollar renovation I have suggested, if coupled with proper maintenance, will allow our current Yacht Club facility many many more years of service. Marty |

For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: Marty You are certainly entitled to your opinion. It is my belief, however, that the club cannot be properly rehabbed for the 1M plus that you suggest. I believe that the number is closer to 2M... and that it will have to be done two or three times over the next 40 years. Do the math. Jeff |
