Outside of a disaster scenario, with period rehabs at costs exceeding their initial purchase price, along with regular proper maintenance, every automobile sold today will last 40 years or more. For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: Jeff: With all due respect, I promise to not try and tell you how to practice your profession, so please don't tell me how to do mine. Even a brand new building will need to be maintained over its life, which normally is way longer then 40 years. I can not remember a building, out side of a disaster scenario, that was torn down after just 40 years. Can you? In my professional opinion the $1.1 Million Dollar renovation I have suggested, if coupled with proper maintenance, will allow our current Yacht Club facility many many more years of service. Marty |
