I agree with you after reading many of the most recent posts concerning replacing the Yacht Club. Those opposing make some good points but the advantages to the new building far outweight a no vote. Having been a property owner for over nine years, I can see considerable deterioration in the existing structure over these nine years. Many of the concerns expressed by Norm Katz and others can be addressed after approval. I feel it would be ludicris to start the whole process all over again. Back in PG county we called this beating a dead horse.

I feel confident Marty Clarke, Ted Moroney and Sharon O'Hare among others would be willing to work with us on getting things done properly this time around.

Those wishing for reduced assessments if the Yacht club is turned down are sadly mistaken. I'm for the biggest "bang for my buck" I can get. I think the Board is trying to deliver just that. I say lets give them a chance to deliver. The Board sure gave us a heck of a Community Center, I want more of the same.

I personally am tired of rundown Amenities.

I've heard many stories from some of the old timers about how nice things were way back then. My wife and I would like  to experience the first class amenities ourselves.
