In spite of what some are saying on the forum
What you or others have experienced or are experiencing is for you to decide and report. I can only report what I see at my dock on Manklin Creek. This morning at high tide the water came over the bulkhead to within about 10 feet of my foundation on the water side. Some years ago during a major northeast storm the water rose high enough to get half way back on my house. The tides are high but in Manklin Creek they certainly are not of any magnitude higher than what I've seen in the past. Ray says the tide will be three feet higher this evening than this morning. Based on NWS alerts I don't xpect to see much different than this morning, but who knows. Time will tell. |

For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: John: In spite of what some are saying on the forum I believe this morning was one of the highest tides I have ever personally witnessed in Ocean Pines. I also would bet that the next high tide will be higher yet, and has the potential to be substantially higher. Marty |
