Ray:
I never questioned OP being prepared for emergencies. I also noted the Web site has been updated but not until this afternoon, etc. The question that was asked was why it took so long to provide updates and that there should have been some indication as to how ongoing communication with residents would occur. Everyone does not understand the process. Ron |

For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: RON. OPA has been preparing for this storm for three days. Public works Vehicles and equipt have been placed in several strategic locations so they can respond quickly. Chain saws and other eqipt. needed to clear downed trees, assist residents with any storm damage are available immedialely. OPA Admist office is open and manned. EMS and Fire personel are all on call and any info that people need can be gotten by calling 410-641-7747 and the correct agency or crews and ready to act. By glad you are in Ocean Pines because we have to most prepared and best Equipt/people in the county in this situation. Our Emergency Preparedness Plan is in place and working. Ray Unger |
