Section 4: General Subject: Wood Duck Park Disappears Msg# 912204

OK Joe,
I think we are beginning to wear this one out but I'll say one more thing on this topic. To: FrankBiancaniello from Nancy Webber (Read) ......I guess everyone knows that Wood Duck Park was NOT intended to be there at all. It was supposed to be dredged, and those houses would have been on a canal. Nancy So it was supposed to be a canal. Properties with canals don't give access to other property owners in OP. The lot plats were already drawn up, so when the canal didn't materialize, access easements had to be squeezed in with the result we presently observe. But in this case something happened and the intended canal was not dredged. Then according to others, the builder turned what was supposed to be a canal into a park. The surrounding home owners didn't appreciate encroachment by outsiders with the result the signs indicating where easements were located disappeared. Now some OP property owners want to know where the Beautiful signs indicating the location of the easements went?!!! For this we don't need Sherlock Holmes, do we? !!! So my question to you Mr. Reynolds is this; is it worth stirring up the citizenry over this issue or should we more onto more important issues? |

For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: The point I alluded to was that the plated easements had to be squeezed into lots where they were not originally intended I don't know what you mean. The easements were in the plat from Day One. The easements were intended from Day One. and as indicated was not intended to be a park but a canal I think that is the case with an area up around Boston Drive but I have no evidence Wood Duck Park was intended by Steen to be a canal. Do you? So Joe in your great wisdom, what is the solution? Can't resist, can you? Anyway, to use what you call my "great wisdom," it is an OPA owned park open to association members. All entrances to the park should be properly marked. It is not brain surgery. They were all marked a few years ago. |
