Thompson seems to be saying that the entire evaluation process for the golf management company took place without any input from him.
Yes, that was obvious and I thought rather strange. However, we need to consider that Thompson's comments were 100% political in nature. Thompson is hoping against hope that the coming OPA election will see his return to power with a board that allows him to do pretty much whatever he chooses. |

For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: Thompson seems to be saying that the entire evaluation process for the golf management company took place without any input from him. So either his relationship with the board is so bad that they decide who he will have to work with without consulting him OR he was part of the process and slept through it OR he is now scratching around for reasons to reverse the decision. Was he at the meetings that evaluated the candidates and, if so, did he insist that the background checks were inadequate at that time? |
