When they identified, and, said they were committed to rebuilding local membership, I felt they may actually have a chance to finally turn around a great community asset.
Worth a try. Unfortunately a perhaps small cadre of the remaining membership seems opposed to Landscapes Unlimited in the extreme. Of course many of this small cadre are the same golf members who wanted Casper's head on a plate not all that long ago. Are you still golfing in OP? If so, what's your take on how LU will be welcomed should a contract result? Why this sudden love affair with Casper and what seems to be an almost equal fear of LU? What I cannot figure out is Thompson's near fanatical support of Casper. |

For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: I wonder if Landscapes Unlimited did their due diligence before submitting a response to the OPA RFP. With a decimated membership base loss (over 600 members in 2004 to less than 200 currently) in a community of over 8,000 homes in a resort area, new hotels and a casino nearby, suspect UL did some due dilegence that should have been done by past BOD's/GM's, and, then Casper. When they identified, and, said they were committed to rebuilding local membership, I felt they may actually have a chance to finally turn around a great community asset. The private course , supported by outside play, mentality that drove away many members may have a chance to be turned back into a community golf course by UL. Let's see what they can do!
